For 21 years, STEEP Daniels has trusted Daniel Chi of Daniel’s Art Supplies to stretch his canvases.

STEEP’s The Day of Transcendence captures Toronto’s Chinatown through colourful layers of street signs, transit tickets and everyday memories. It is one of his most beloved artworks, with prints collected around the world.

After 42 years serving artists in Toronto’s Chinatown, Daniel’s Art Supplies is closing its storefront. Daniel Chi will continue stretching canvases, and STEEP will keep bringing that work to him.

STEEP is also giving Mr. Daniel 10% of every print sale as a personal thank-you for his years of supporting Toronto artists. If you order a stretched canvas, Daniel will be commissioned to prepare it.
